The Bellevue Collection, Seattle Chinese Culture and Arts Association and the Republic of China (Taiwan) Overseas Community Affairs Council co-organized the “2017 Lunar New Year” event, on February 4, 2017, at Bellevue Square’s Center Court. Director General Vincent Yao of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Seattle and colleagues were invited to attend the opening ceremony at 2 pm.
The celebration featured numerous traditional and contemporary cultural demonstrations such as Taiwan Guan Jiang Shou, Taiwan Aboriginal Dance, Sichuan Style Chinese opera (Change Face), Shaolin Martial Arts and Techno Third Prince Nezha and other martial arts, music, dance and visual arts etc. The festival was open to audiences of all ages and includes fun, various activities for all to participate in.
