Representative Kuo participates in a meeting on shelter for abused women and children in Crete

Representative Sherman Kuo of the Taipei Representative Office in Greece attended a meeting July 13 regarding a shelter for abused women and children in Crete. Established in 2002 by the Union of Women Members Associations of Heraklion Prefecture, the shelter provides free accommodation and legal consultation services to women and children in need.
In his remarks, Representative Kuo emphasized that the government and people of Taiwan strongly support humanitarian initiatives and women’s rights. President Mary Pachiadakis and other board members of the Union expressed their gratitude to Representative Kuo for taking the time to meet with them. Creta Live also interviewed Representative Kuo, who encouraged people from Taiwan to visit Crete and suggested that more local agricultural products be exported to Taiwan, thereby enhancing bilateral tourism and trade.
