The European delegates will be seeking to gain deeper insight into Taiwan’s scientific and technological developments in such areas as e-health, intelligent transport systems, and smart energy, as well as meet with related Taiwanese government officials and experts. Their visit highlights the close exchanges and cooperation between Taiwan and Europe in high tech, urban management, and the humanities, among other fields.

MOFA will continue to promote even stronger cooperation with Europe in terms of smart cities and the development of the digital economy, echoing the use of science and technology to advance sustainable city development and encouraging economic and industrial innovation.
