As an effort to help boost Taiwan’s economy, the IDIA holds the first of a series of economic symposiums on April 13, 2018, to enhance MOFA colleagues’ understanding of domestic and international economic issues and enable them to attract foreign business and investment when posted overseas. Dr. Chung-shu Wu, president of the Chunghua Institution for Economic Research (CIER) and Dr. Chiou Jiunn-rong, deputy minister of the National Development Council (NDC) speak on “The Opportunities and Challenges of Taiwan’s Economy and Trade.” Minister Jaushieh Joseph Wu and more than 150 MOFA colleagues attend the symposium.
