The ROC government expresses regret over certain Japanese parliamentarians and other political figures paying homage at Yasukuni Shrine on August 15. It once again calls on Japanese politicians to learn from history, engage in deep introspection, and show concern for the traumatic memories of neighboring countries. The ROC government also urges Japan to take a more forward-looking and responsible stance, promote friendly relations with its neighbors, and enhance peace and stability in the region and the rest of the world.
