有關美國國務卿布林肯於5月9日會晤英國外交大臣柯維立，並於會後聯合記者會強調維護台海和平穩定事，外交部回應如下：
美國國務卿布林肯（Antony Blinken）於本（5）月9日會晤英國外交大臣柯維立（James Cleverly），兩位外長於會後聯合記者會中，重申對維護台海和平穩定的共同立場。布林肯國務卿強調在確保台海和平穩定等關鍵議題，或是尋求與中國合作解決全球重大挑戰上，美英立場一致；柯維立外交大臣則呼應表示，美英兩國以增進全球利益考量，必須直接、堅定、定期與中國接觸，以影響北京決策，包括維繫台海和平，因為台海和平將對所有人造成影響。外交部對英美兩國外長再次重申對台海和平穩定的堅定立場，表示歡迎與肯定。
台海和平穩定是印太地區安全與繁榮的核心。自去（111）年以來，中國藉故無端升高對台脅迫及軍事恫嚇，對區域安全與穩定構成嚴峻挑戰，也為國際社會高度關切；美英兩國外長上述聲明，再次凸顯維護台海和平穩定是國際民主社群的高度共識，關乎全球利益，民主夥伴當團結一致，共同維護。外交部將持續與美、英以及所有理念相近夥伴攜手合作，捍衛民主價值，以維護台海及區域和平、穩定與繁榮。

“The vision that James set out a few weeks ago in his speech at Mansion House underscores the shared approach when it comes to key issues like ensuring peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait, as well as looking for ways to cooperate with China where we can work together to solve big challenges.”
英國外交大臣柯維立：
“And we have to engage with China directly, robustly, regularly, to seek to influence the decisions that are made in Beijing and do so in a way that benefits the whole world, whether that be on the maintenance of peace across the Taiwan Strait, which of course is something which affects all of us irrespective of where we are in the world, to issues such as climate change, pandemic prevention and response.”
