有關美韓元首峰會聯合聲明中提及維護台海和平穩定重要性事，外交部回應如下：
美國總統拜登（Joe Biden）與韓國大統領尹錫悅於美東時間本（4）月26日在華府舉行元首峰會，會後召開聯合記者會並發布「紀念美韓同盟70週年元首聯合聲明」。雙方在聲明中重申維護台海和平穩定是區域安全繁榮不可或缺的要素，強烈反對（strongly opposed）任何片面改變印太區域現狀的企圖。拜登總統並在聯合記者會表示，雙方於當日會議中曾就共同合作推動台海和平穩定進行討論。外交部對此表示歡迎與肯定。
台海和平穩定是印太地區安全與繁榮的核心。近期中國藉故無端升高對台脅迫及軍事恫嚇，對區域安全與穩定構成嚴峻挑戰，也受到國際社會高度關切。上述美韓元首的聯合聲明再次凸顯維護台海和平穩定是國際民主社群的高度共識，關乎全球重大利益，需要民主夥伴共同維護。外交部將持續與美國及所有理念相近夥伴攜手合作，捍衛民主價值，以維護台海及區域和平、穩定與繁榮。
